This week was eventful with everything going on, Christmas festivities, and getting to call home and talk with everyone. That’s one thing I am truly grateful for was the ability to FaceTime home and see everyone again, even though it was brief it helps you really cherish the time we spend with each other.
Some exciting news from this past week was that we had our mission president come out with us to meet the Brazeal family, this scared us cause it’s the mission president, but afterwards he told us that the Brazeals are an amazing family and their story is going to make his stake conference talk this up coming stake conference so it was surprising to hear that! Then a few days later we get a call from our mission president telling us him and his wife were going up to our area to bring cinnamon rolls to the Brazeal family! It was great to see them reaching out helping the work here and helping the Brazeal family feel welcomed.
Last Monday night we had a talk with Patrick, he came out and told us that he knew the Book of Mormon was true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and he wanted to know what else he needed to do to be baptized! We set the date for January 7, 2017! So we are eagerly preparing for that!!
After this week my testimony has strengthened in several ways, the first one being in prayer. We’ve done what is called the 21 day challenge with members where we give them a list of our investigators that we are working with and they pray for them. The Brazeal family was one who was on that list and now they are being baptized. My testimony of God’s plan for us is beyond words, I’ve learned that no matter what happens in life it is for a reason and we are constantly being tested and tried to learn and appreciate his love for us.
I am grateful for this gospel and Jesus Christ and what he has gone through for each of us so that we could live with God again. I’m grateful for a wonderful family who is there with love and support through everything.
Also this week we saw a car smash into a pawn shop… THROUGH A BRICK WALL!! All that happened to the car was the windshield had a little crack in it and a dent in the front bumper. The thing was like a Nokia on wheels! The best part about the whole thing was the fact that the people who repaired the brick wall just put wrapping paper over it and a bow to cover the hole! We also saw a possum on the road, PLAYING DEAD!! So I took a selfie with it, no big deal, it was just gone a few hours after the picture was taken. I hope y’all have a great week! I love you so much!
