This week was crazy! On Wednesday we had a lot of things happen, we had a world wide Missionary Conference and they changed our schedule! It’s legit!! I love it! It’s really relaxed, I feel like I have more freedom!
It’s now necessarily a set schedule anymore which is kind of nice! After the conference we went to the assisted living center and sang songs with the residents!, I am in love with these people! They are so sweet!
Then that night we were able to meet with a less active member who Elder Moulton ended up tracting to when we were on an exchange a while back. The members name is Danilo! This guy is hilarious! I love him to pieces. He is trying to get his life back in order and get his kids out of foster care, he talks about his kids like they are the world to him and it’s amazing to hear.
He showed us a picture of them and almost immediately I recognized them from somewhere but I didn’t know where. His whole family looked so familiar to me but I didn’t know where I could have met them or seen them.
As I looked at the picture I began to think that maybe I had a dream about this family or I met them in the pre-mortal life, then almost immediately following those thoughts I was engulfed with a love for them and knew I needed to help Danilo get back on this path so his kids can be baptized and that they can be together for eternity.
I still don’t know the reason, but I know I am suppose to help Danilo and his family. Danilo later came to church on Sunday and loved it, he ended becoming good friends with Angel and Patrick who are foster parents! Angel is helping Danilo make sure he can make the right steps to get his family back together. It’s crazy to see!!
Now an update on Patrick’s missionary work… He bore his testimony to one of Payton’s friends who is an atheist and now Payton’s friend is asking more questions about the church… This whole ripple affect after baptizing someone is just blowing my mind. Because Payton’s friend is actually someone we met when Elder Dalas Alas and I were contacting people at a gas station…
I love when we see God’s plan, even if it’s just a sneak peek we get to see how amazing it is. The rest of the week was just a blast, we did exchanges in the Flowery Branch area so we had two companionships (4 Elders) in our area. It was like a giant sleep over!
Then on Friday night we went into the Spanish Elders area so there was 4 of us in their area. The night that we were in the Flowery Branch area we listened to a conversion story of a Catholic priest and it was very interesting to hear how a simple invitation from a friend turned this whole man’s life around.
So my invitation to you this week is to simply invite someone to come closer to God, whether that is saying a prayer or coming to church or sharing their beliefs with you! You’ll see miracles happen, you never know who is simply waiting for an invitation!
I hope y’all have a wonderful week!! I love you!
