Final Resting Place

I can’t put into words the amount of lessons I have learned over the course of the past 6 months here in the Dacula area. It’s been filled with many miracles, memories, and people that have impacted my life and have taught me the value of time.

I feel like I just got here but just like every great moment in life there needs to be an end for a new chapter to begin.

I’m being transferred to the Hickory Flat area and this will likely be my resting place and I will finish my mission there. I feel like I’ve gone through a giant cycle.

When I first came out on my mission, I was in Jasper. I had gone on a few exchanges into Hickory Flat so in a way it’s like going back to the beginning. I’m really excited to see what’s in store for these last few months and I can’t wait to meet and get to know the people.

This last week in Dacula, we were able to see a really amazing answer to our prayers. On Sunday during church a youth came up to us and wanted to introduce us to her friend she had brought.

This guy was a stud and immediately I could see he was someone with a passion for seeking Jesus Christ in their life. We talked and sat with him, then after church we got to know him more.

There was a point in his life that is very similar to a lot of us when we are younger. We kind of go through a rebellious/experimenting phase where we don’t make the right choices.

This young man began to bare his testimony and personal conversion story where he got to a point where he said enough was enough. He didn’t like the way his life was, he wanted to seek a change, he wanted to quit running from God and start running toward him.

He wanted to seek God’s will everyday of his life.

For us to be standing there hearing this; it was blowing my mind how much the Lord was preparing him and helping him in his life.

It was an answer to our prayers to meet someone who was seeking change and seeking God. We are very excited to help him and be apart of his journey through life.

Well, that was our miracle for the week. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stays safe! I love you!
