What’s up everyone! It was a pretty odd week this week. Elder Sanders got a kink in his neck so we weren’t able to get as much done as we wanted to because he couldn’t move his head to bike so it was interesting. But we did run into a few other bumps that led into a good lesson to be learned.

\n\"\"<\/a>We ran into a few people this week that used the line, “you need to look on the other side of things, and really pray about what you’re teaching people.” In those moments I feel stronger than ever the power behind a personal testimony and why they are so important. When you have a personal conviction and you truly have prayed and asked God you feel the comfort of the spirit as you stand firm.<\/p>\n

We had an experience this week with someone that was looking into the church and saw both sides. They saw the results from living the gospel and the blessings that come from striving to apply the teachings of the Savior, and they also saw the results of when we don’t and the consequences following. <\/p>\n

It’s hard to watch someone start to give up on something they have so much potential in. We tried everything we could to help but in the end they still chose to take a different path. It really put into perspective the Plan our Heavenly Father has for us. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We have been given the ability each and everyday to choose our actions, He will not force us to go one way or another because He allows us to learn things through our own efforts. His help is there, but we need to take the first step towards Him and show we are willing. <\/p>\n

I’ve heard so many times people say that we have “so many restrictions.” There are a few things we aren’t allowed to do, as an example I’ll use the word of wisdom which encourages us to not partake of Coffee, Alcohol, Tea, Tobacco, or Illegal substances. <\/p>\n

You have the choice to look at that as a restriction or a blessing. Our Heavenly Father saw that over time these things would be changed to the point where they can actually be harmful to our bodies. That revelation given to us has helped us focus more on listening to the spirit and feeling our Heavenly Father\u2019s love more.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>So to tie this in why I bring up restrictions, if you look at life as a giant field, there are so many places to roam, so many things to experience and see. But there are also cliffs that we could fall into and get hurt. <\/p>\n

The revelation that has been given to us are warning signs and fences to protect us from falling off the cliff. We aren’t forced to stay inside the gate because God isn’t going to force us to do anything, He allows us to choose whether we want to stay away from the cliff and see the blessings of roaming to other parts in the field or we can choose to jump the fence and risk getting hurt. <\/p>\n

Mind you, if you find yourself as someone who has jumped the fence and exploring the cliff side, know that there is a Shepard who is there to guide you back. He has explored to the lowest parts of the cliff and He has done it to help you and guide you back. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s what is so remarkable about God\u2019s plan. I encourage you to evaluate where you stand in this field, are you finding yourself wanting to explore the other side of the fence, or are you striving to find ways God can use you to help take care of His land and others around you? <\/p>\n
