Nothing much has happened this week, the work has still been pretty slow. It was transfers on Wednesday so we’ve had a few changes in our zone. A few missionaries had finished up their missions and a few others got transferred to other areas. We got 30 new missionaries in our mission and a few are in our zone. It feels like a week ago that I was in their shoes; it’s crazy how fast time flies! This week we met with a couple...
Read MoreThis week has been a trial of patience, the work has really started to slow down. Every place we went people would either not answer the door or tell us they weren’t interested. This was disappointing, but we turned to the members and less actives for appointments to share a message with, but minutes before we would get ready to leave for the appointments they would call and cancel on us. That was the most frustrating part. But...
Read MoreThis week has been crazy busy with service. Every time we had an appointment they canceled and we had someone call us asking if we could do service for them. We had some crazy experiences, though. During our weekly planning, I was really craving some hot dogs that we had in the fridge. We helped a member move and while we were doing that it started POURING rain, but the work must go on. It legit felt like we were in a Jurassic park movie. The storms here are weird! You could see the rain coming in the...
Read MoreI honestly don’t know where to begin with this week so much has happened! We have been doing a lot of service for people. We volunteered at a thrift store, which was fun. We sorted old ladies clothes and threw away a bunch of stuff that people were dropping off. Right as we finished a member called us to come help him move so we drove like 30 minutes to see him. He had us moving wood that was stored in a small extension of his...
