This week was kind of all over the place. We had an exchange with the Canton elders and Elder Beckey and Elder Baird met a man who was interested in learning more about the church! They taught him the Restoration and set up a time to meet again the next day.
Well the next day Elder Beckey and I went to the return appointment and had a pretty lengthy discussion. What we learned the most coming out of the discussion is that a lot of what we teach is based off of faith. God has given us so much in our lives and the least we can do is trust him and use what He has given us.
This week we have the opportunity to hear from a modern day prophet and his apostles who are the Lord’s mouthpiece for his church. And it’s also Easter weekend where we remember our Savior and the sacrifice He made for us.
This week I just simply want to bare my testimony of His infinite sacrifice.
Over the course of these past 22 months I have been on a journey trying to apply his Atonement in every aspect of my life. Christ gave his body and blood as a sacrifice for us. That is one of the HIGHEST forms of payment we can give our Heavenly Father, and Christ so willingly experienced every bit of that sacrifice for us.
He felt every drop of tear we would shed, every heart breaking moment in our life, every injury or sickness we would face, why? Because He loves you. He sees the potential each and everyone of us have.
He carries us when we feel weak, and he joys with us when we are made strong. Within these 22 months I have had lows, I have been humbled, rejected, spat at, accused, and threatened. All for trying to walk a path that Christ has so obediently walked.
In no means am I perfect, I am far from it. But I have seen first hand the strength that comes from turning to our Savior and pleading with Him for help.
My heart continues to grow each and everyday for what Christ has done, and when I feel like there is no more room to love these people, He finds room.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13).
Don’t ever give up, no matter what you go through, no matter how hard life seems to get, always remember you have a Savior who loves you and has given everything for you. Remember him this week as he remembered you. I love you all.
